The outer coat is ruthless and bulky, with a dense and softer undercoat. The face, underbody, feet and facemask are white. The coat colors may vary and includes red, gold, gray, and black etc.

This breed of dogs loves to play, and is therefore well suited to those that enjoy spending time outdoors and enjoy exercises. The Alaskan Malamute may be aggressive around same sex dogs, as well as with other smaller animals.
